Biography

Hello, I’m Mrs. Crusinberry. I live in Wichita, Kansas and I am currently in my 20th year of teaching physical education in Andover. I received my undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS. I just received my masters degree from Emporia State University.  Before I started teaching at Andover I taught at a High School in El Paso, Texas where I coached volleyball and started their dance program. Shortly after moving back to Kansas I taught special education in Wichita. God soon opened the door for me at Andover and gave me the opportunity to teach physical education, which is truly what I am passionate about!

My husband, John, and I have 5 beautiful kids and 1 grandson.  Our oldest son, LJ (Little John) is 25 and just received his bachelor's degree from Lindenwood University (Belleville).  Right out of high school LJ played hockey for the Wichita Jr. Thunder and Topeka Capitals and then at Lindenwood while getting his degree.  My son, Blake, is almost 24 and is serving in the US Navy and has a wife, Gabby, and a son, Lane.  My daughter, Taylor, is 20 and is currently working on getting a degree in psychology.  My daughter, Carson, is 14 and will be a freshman at ACHS.  Carson is a figure skater and enjoys playing the flute, sax, and violin.  My son, Reece, is 10 and will be a 5th grader at MES, and also plays hockey.  Last but not least is my grandson, Lane, who is 6 months old and is absolutely adorable!!!

It is my goal to try and provide a variety of activities to students that will hopefully allow them to develop a love for moving and understand the importance of exercise and staying healthy!  If you need to contact me you can email me at crusinbt@usd385.org .  Please also check out my facebook page to see what's going on in pe!  https://www.facebook.com/crusinberrype
